[Singapore] - People with allergic reactions to mRNA COVID-19 vaccines can take Sinovac shot, will be considered fully vaccinated

We had a range of topics. That's why the conversation was long and interesting even though he had other patients waiting outside. He wanted to hear what I said.

We even talked about China-USA politics and Sg politics and its implications and how these will play out in the future.

They are doctors. They make a living meeting patients. They took the least risky route to protect themselves. If given the option , some would wait for natural immunity to kick in.

Why do I need to fabricate anything? Ask MOH to give a breakdown of the doctors in Sg who took mRNA and Sinovac/Sinopharm la. Prove me wrong!

Nowhere else in the world does the authorities report a drop in efficacy for Sinovac and Sinopharm except Sg. Confirm talentless Sg cannot make it.
Hope you are well @Loofydralb

I am quite surprised you do go see Dr.

How much was consult fee? And for how long?

I hope from now on people learn this one simple lesson illustrated clearly during this pandemic:

NEVER TRUST WHAT PAP SAYS!
Never trust what anyone else says lah.

Many people only trust themselves. Everything not agreeing with them is rubbish and bullshit and stupid and ignorance.

I think PAP also might have same thinking.

Put 2 people who have exactly that same philosophy and have different views about a topic. Lol!

Pfizer's approach is using MRNA to teach body's immune system to arm and recognise virus. It is a new strategy and its long term effects on our body is UNKNOWN.
Sinovac's approach is using weakened virus and carrier to provoke our immune system to overcome it (easily) and thus able to fight future attacks. This is a multi-decade tested and proven to be a safe method.
Can these 2 vax mix together?

I see no issues with using both.

In fact using a variety of vaccines will yield better results. The thing to watch for is adverse effects and complications.

So far sinovac and sinopharm seem pretty safe as far as low rate of adverse events. The main criticism is that it doesnt result in high antibody levels.

But so what? Better something than nothing.

The old adage of "Do no harm" or non-maleficence holds true.

In a patient who refuses mRNA but is agreeable to attenuated virus does it cause harm to give the latter?

The doctors have been arguing that if you recommend an inferior treatment over another that is superior then the dr is causing harm to the patient.

But these days patients choose.

The world is very different in 2021 than in 1970. Nowadays everyone is told they are the smartest people in the world and should make their own decisions. Autonomy. Rights.

We may be witnessing the beginning of the demise of governance.

The consult was like 10 mins. Another 15 mins chatting about interesting things. It was my first time seeing him. He broke the ice by bragging that he is undoubtedly top five, in the ability to draw blood, without fail. And when I asked, "Even from a fat person?" He said yes, even from a fat person.

And he proved it with my arms. Less than 20 secs from the time he was tapping for a vein, until the syringe was full. And he did it with my other arm too. Never saw anyone that quick drawing my blood. Mind you, my veins are not easily seen. AND...he did not need to have FOUR boards!!!! Oh, maybe I'm not sure about that.

The dr you saw must be either a private GP or a very junior MO in hospital setting.

Even polyclinic the drs dont take blood samples from patients.

I was also very good at taking blood towards the end of my housemanship and early part of MO ship.

It is just about having practice. Finding veins is not about seeing the veins but feeling for them.

I suspect the dr you saw is aware of the "people love to hear what they want to hear" rule. So he must be doing very well regardless his position or status.

It is what we call the "PR skill".

Long conversation because he has similar opinions as @Loofydralb

And also because they both agree then @Loofydralb calls that guy a "smart doctor".

People love to hear what they want to hear. People love to be told they are correct. People love to be different and say others are stupid and wrong and then have their opponents tell them yes we were wrong. People love to feel superior to others.

Human nature.
Actually that was not true. He gave another perspective to this whole handling of the pandemic that I did not see clearly.

Not really. He was quite cold initially. Seemed methodical and uninterested at first and appeared wanting to get it over quickly. He even mumbled something like...this should have been done somewhere else. Until he mentioned his skills, I latched on to that little bit of hunch that he likes to chat. So, a few choice questions, body language, mirroring and posturing, and he was like an old friend.

He even told me you doctors get good discounts when you go for CT scan at those private hospitals. Jeez. So grossly unfair. Already so rich, get discount some more! Then he tole me if I want to be doing CT scan every year, heart/lung/neck/head/whatever.....go to China. Its only $60!!!

Personally, i will not even take the sino china vac because i want to be the control group to show that the vac that PAP manipulate the population to take is useless. I will be the control group and with me around, they will never achieve the 100% vax status. i will be the unvaxx control group to show PAP the middle finger.
I respect your life choices and will defend your right to those choices. And on the same side of the coin, I just hate kiasi people, cowardly doctors, paranoid politicians and illogical unprincipled policies.

Thats good. Always good to learn new perspectives. Care to share what that other perspective was.

I think we all benefit when we hear other view points regardless whether we agree or not.

Got discount meh?

I was not aware of that.

Sounds like he lan lan had to do your case. But made the best of it. Anyway this guy sounds like made for private sector lah.

In a nutshell, LHL's the weak link in the whole chain of command. And ended up MTF taking weak advise from the wrong people.

Or maybe I misunderstood him. It's LHL giving wrong advise to his weak people. Now I'm confused. He touched on too many details until I get all mixed up.

I think you can now better agree with me that "people just want to hear what they want to hear".

I am sure all the things he said that you agree with you remember with perfect clarity.

As a doctor myself I will say that the practice of medicine is an art. We have forgotton that because we keep thinking about the science as a "truth" and "evidence". Any experienced physician who has been on practice more than 10 years will tell you there are things that happen that we cant really explain with the limited science we have.

Its not like being a car mechanic or even a computer engineer. Anything that is made by something or someone else other than man we cannot fully comprehend.

The problem is that the art of practicing medicine has been replaced with strict rules guidelines and directives. Sometimes not even from doctors themselves.

The art has been replaced by following orders.

Drs are told to follow what patients decide. You think doctors used to doing that will have any problem listening to what the Minister decides? The Prime Minister?

Thats where we are at with medical profession. Sure there are those in the USA and Canada who still dare to speak out. But by and far they are the minority.

Dont talk about Singapore! Lol.

Now fucking puppies said cannot go back workplace after Jan 2022 if unvax. Knnbccb.

In the first place should opt for time tested sinovac approach.

Why never include sinopharm?

Why must take so many booster shots?
Read and watch YouTube on this by Dr Sucharit Bhakdi.

Fucking puppies

Your body produces millions of mRNA a day. Same as the mRNA vaccine . They all disappear after a few days after serving one single function of protein synthesis

don’t be so ignorant . Go read from credible sources .
