Remember way, way, way back....banks used to have forgotten the term starts with "C", they pay people with business contacts or positions in the community of certain races, like Chinese, Indians, Malays, Jews etc... retainer fees. These people have offices in the banks, they serve as go between, handle commercial disputes, even personal ones...recommend business to the banks...even handle TRADE FINANCE ...could even label them, TRADE FINANCE SALES TEAM MANAGER...& even Private Banker.
Private Bankers were usually Forex Dealers, Stocks & Shares Dealers or even combination of both, plus insurance, Finance, Money dealers all in one...serving high network clients....
There seems to be much "marketing" of elaborate sounding bank positions these days, like VP, Associate Director, etc..in the past, we will just call them No.2 in the section or division, head of department, Senior Bank Officers, Junior Bank Officers..& so forth..
