Give the guy a break man. LKY is a top lawyer, born orator. Heng, clearly, is the think more talk less kind. I personally don’t think he wants the PM role. Pretty thankless job compared with being just minister.

I doubt he doesn't want the job... I do think he is a bit too eager. But , he is not the type who can handle unexpected situation or surprises...you can see it when he was told to take the nomination seat at East Coast GRC. He looks 'uncertain' and lacking of confidence at the nomination speech. I am not sure what went through his mind... but I am pretty certain that he feels frustrated with the change because East Coast GRC may not give him the emphatic victory results that he would expect to get for a PM to be compared to his old Tampines GRC. If he only garners 60% or below in East Coast GRC where he used to get 70% or more in his old constituency in past elections, it will signal to him that he is not good enough...as the people choice of the next PM. Worst if CCS or LW garner more votes than him..
