a customer looking to buy a bun is not looking for a racial judgment. She's looking to buy a bun or three. If she wanted a debate about poondekness, she would come here. if a person is hired to take care of customers by selling them stuff and she's offending them on the job instead, shouldn't that be sackable?

The staff did what they were paid to do and that is to sell buns be it 1, 3 or 300.

However there is nothing wrong with voicing an opinion regarding a customer's behavior. If she was offended she is free to boycott the establishment in future.

and if I owned that establishment, I would sack her because said staff is costing me money. what economic benefit is it to hire somebody who for the sake of a joke is willing to cost me my Indian customers. I did not hire staff to piss of customers.

Maybe staffs are not tra8ned to handle difficult customers. Staff attitude, hygeine, personality reflects on the company too.
