shouldn't these chinks be isolated embargoed and sanctioned?

I would prefer bak kut teh flavour. Or pork knuckle flavour!

Bak kwa is generally high in energy, fat and sugar.

Two slices of bak kwa contain about 600kcal of energy or comparable amount of energy to a plate of chicken rice.

About 75 per cent of energy is provided by the fat in meat and sugar or honey, added for flavouring.

A considerable amount of salt is also added both as a flavouring agent and as a preservative.

Two slices of bak kwa contain about half the recommended daily level of salt.

As a guide, limit yourself to half a slice each time, and not more than one slice a day.

Bak kwa was once upon a time a low SES food. Two strips of bak kwa and a bowl of plain porridge and that's one meal settled.

Alternatively, a sprinkling of pork floss.

cant tell the diff betw lim chee bai and bee cheng hiang, all taste the same, fried sugar coated jerky

You are confirmed a bak kwa addict!

Actually opposite lah.

You ever see an addict got stash of what he is addicted to still around 2-3 years never touch?

You got cigarettes 2-3 years never touch?

LOL!

I just assumed this was the last of your stash, and you probably had ice boxes and fridges stuffed with them! And you have been getting your bak kwa fix regularly for the past two to three years.

I do have pipe tobacco from about three to five years back. Stored in sealed containers, and used very sparingly. They are the good stuff you see.

Thank you for the information. Good for the bak kwa addicts here to know. Unless you are in your teens, 20s or early-30s, better lay off it.

Oh, and start smoking ciggies instead!
