MS LO Hwei Yen, a 28-year-old Singaporean lawyer who had been taken hostage at a luxury Mumbai hotel, was confirmed dead last night.
Her body was identified by her husband, Mr Michael Puhaindran, who had flown out to Mumbai on Thursday night.
She had flown to Mumbai to attend a business seminar on Wednesday morning, but found herself mired in the violence hours later when terrorists toting guns and grenades overran the posh Oberoi Hotel she was in. She is believed to be the the first Singaporean victim of a terror attack.
