The best of the west. This one at the top floor open air food-court at Beauty World is cheap and good. People would just hang around there having kopi, just waiting for the stall to open.

5 years ago i went back to sg and eat at hawker centre.

went breakfast ordered hot horlic after i stir it and took a sip i put it aside of the table and my wife saw it and ask me why i dont want to drink anymore(she those type who dont like to waste food) then i told her to take a sip and she did and she too put the cup of horlic at the aside of the table so i wasted $1.50 then i went to mama shop buy a bottle 1.5 litre of soft drink.

i ordered fried kuey teow form chinese stall and it cost me $3.50(total $7) the portion so small that i had to buy another bowl so total cost me $7 and still not full i had to buy fried egg inside they fried it with something like cockle u can eat it with chili cost me another $4 (i love chinese food as long they put pork i eat)

if in Australia if i order the same fried kuey teow it can cost me $10 to $12 depending where i buy but the portion is so huge that i will share with my wife everytime both will full so if i divide by 2 i only paid $6.

what i trying to say i singapore is more expensive then Australia.

if we skip trip 2 weeks trip to singapore we can actually have 2 times 2 week holidays in Australia.
normally we take twice 2 weeks cruise a year
or
we go to take 2 week cruise and 2 week stays in other states of Australia :)

our last trip to sg we went back to sg because my brother wedding we stay in sg for 3 days and then we took a ferry to Bintan resort(indonesia) for 10 days and then went back to sg and stay at changi airport hotel for one night and the next morning took the plane back home.

hidden in the picture is the cantonese ah ma behind the glass
she is a damn good cook
the magic is not the chicken
the magic she has is her beef brisket and braised "gold coin" beef... superb cantonese cuisine...
