Speaking of 4G the problem in sg with 4G are the data charges. The cheapest 4G plans around only allow 2GB of data which isn't enough if you want to watch HD vids. Prepaid charges suck too with 3GB of data for $30 for example. Only singtel's prepaid is the best with 14GB of data for 7 days at $25.
Are the 4G data charges cheaper in US? Should be cos you aren't going to be downloading or engaging in high data transfers if the prices are expensive.

at&t - 10gb at usd100 per month per account + usd15 per additional phone (up to 5) using share plan
sprint - 1gb at usd25 per month per line (up to 10) using framily share plan (10 lines will be 10g)
t-mobile - 500mb at usd50 per month, 2.5gb at usd60 per month, or unlimited at usd70 per month per phone/line
verizon - 250mb at usd15, 500mb at usd30, 1gb at usd40, 2gb at usd50, 3gb at usd60, 4gb to 10g from usd70 to usd100, 12gb to 50gb from usd110 to usd375 (up to 10 shared devices or lines) on best everything plan
all 4g plans with unlimited talk and text.
