Wonder whether you can concur with me that mutation of viruses is a direct manifestation of evolution? Why do doctors tell us to complete the full course of our antibiotics? Is it not because if we don't kill these bastards by strengthening our bodies and killing the bacteria that weaken us, these viruses will mutate to something that resist such treatment in the future?

Viruses cannot exist on its own. It's even simpler than a bacteria or something slightly bigger and complex like an amoeba. Mutations may happen on smaller scale creatures. But, how do you relate a mammoth ? Ancient elephants or just another specie of elephants ?

Human mutations can be quite limited to skin tones, facial features, height, etc. The whole body parts and blood are still compatible and exchangeable.

much as me understood, antibiotics are mainly prescribed for bacterial infections. viral infections are nasty and hard to handle. the reason why GPs still prescribe antibiotics even when you have a viral infection is because the body weakens and is susceptible to secondary infections (presumably bacterial).

as of whether virus can be used as a direct evidence as to deem it as a manifestation of the process of evolution, it'd be heavily contested. scientists cannot define a virus as dead or alive. on its own without a host, these buggers go into an inanimate mode, once in a host, it wrecks havoc.

best candidate of viral mutation would be HIV if me recall correctly :o:o:o
