SIA's clueless leadership: flight to nowhere scrapped, now offering dining in aeroplane

If planes are amphibious they could potentially be used as cruise ships.

Flying is very dangerous. Hurling through the sky in a pressurised metal tube, where a million man-made parts need to work properly, and the pilot and co-pilot need to be mentally sound and alert, do not seem like a good proposition to me. Not to mention weather conditions.

One should only fly when there are no other options available. To fly for fun and to nowhere is senseless and dicing with death.

Airlines need to keep afloat so what ever tricks they can come out with they will.
Example fly to everywhere (no landing)

To reduce costs, a flight to nowhere should serve this to every passenger:

Should I start buying SIA shares now?:o-o: $3.51 now, will it tumble to $1?

Yeah, and I bet all our CPF monies are used to prop up the ailing SIA.
I don't think CPF funds can be use directly injected into SIA. But I am sure all this years the investment instrument eg. Gic , Temasek etc can

The greatest monies collection may be cpf which started decades ago instead of other components eg levy, corporate tax personal tax , gst etc

K.N.N.

Bestest SIA order from Malaysia.
Simple but delicious.
Only RM$1 per packet.---
SIA can save Big Big costs.

And you didn't offer to buy her a drink or a meal? I would've! Could lead to better things.

Perhaps you can start a conversation by asking about the dinner on SIA package?

I won't be surprised. Also from their shareholder.

How stupid can people be? Pay $50 for economy class to eat shit food, cramped in a fucking seat for three hours. And for $300 and $600, can dine out at nice atas restaurants.
That's the benefit being with state own group companies.
Moreover ah loong is the boss.

John tan the resident pap retarded Eunuch bought into this??

Bookings for SIA's Restaurant A380@Changi sold out in just half an hour
12 OCT 2020

You still have a chance to get yourself on the waitlist when it reopens on Monday (Oct 12) at 6pm.

Did you manage to snag one of the slots for Singapore Airlines’ dining experience, Restaurant A380@Changi?
Consider yourself extremely lucky if you did because they were all snapped up within half an hour after bookings opened at midnight on Monday (Oct 12).

According to TODAY, citing an SIA spokesperson, customers who didn’t manage to make a reservation were invited to join a waitlist, which had closed.
However, due to “strong demand and interest from customers”, the waitlist will reopen on SIA’s KrisShop website for a limited time from 6pm on Monday for those who are interested.
The spokesperson said: “Those on the waitlist will be contacted by SIA should there be additional availability for the Restaurant A380 @Changi experience.”
It has not been revealed how many people are on the waitlist.
SIA announced on Sep 29 its plans to offer a dining experience on board the A380, along with tours of its training facilities as well as a home delivery service featuring its first class and business class meals.
These new initiatives, dubbed Discover Your Singapore Airlines, were introduced amid unprecedented challenges for Singapore’s national carrier after COVID-19 effectively shut down worldwide travel demand.
The three-hour lunch costs S$50 for a seat in economy, S$90 in premium economy, S$300 in business class and S$600 for the suites, before taxes. The dining experience, featuring international cuisines and items from a Peranakan menu specially designed by Singaporean chef Shermay Lee, will take place only on two days: Oct 24 and 25.
SIA will be using two aircraft for the dining experience, and while the spokesperson declined to reveal the number of seats that have been sold, its A380 planes have a 471-seat configuration.
One person who managed to book a business class dining ticket is 22-year-old full-time national serviceman and self-declared “aviation geek”, Marcus Chan
He told TODAY: “I’ve definitely heard good things about SIA’s business class products through friends. They swear by SIA airlines. Perhaps that’s what drew me to try (for the tickets).”
When asked if SIA would extend the dining initiative, the airline spokesperson responded: “We are currently looking into accommodating all who have made reservations, as well as potentially some of those on the waitlist, for this unique dining experience.”

There’s good news for those who still want to experience first class or business class dining, but in the comfort of your own home.
There are still packages available for the SIA@Home initiative where a home-dining experience for two meant to recreate the dining experience in those exclusive cabins will be delivered right to your door. Bookings are available at KrisShop.
