Perhaps Mr Ang & others like him are out of touch with REALITIES in this age of AI, at the GROUND level of how EASY a mere NRIC number can be obtained today, eg - contests, verifications, etc..let alone credit/debit/hp numbers/email addy/ for authentication?
The solution lays NOT in NRIC numbers, but on PERSONAL RESONSIBITY, to VERIFY others identity before any ones own hard earned funds to pressi the agree button on a hp or desktop computer....
