it’s satellite coverage thus theoretically you should be able to see the “birds”, but if sg does not approve and blocks it by regulatory excuses it may be illegal to use the technology. Can i get starlink in Singapore ?
If starlink works on phones, this is like Uber revamping the taxi industry. Telcos will faint.
i worked with meo sats before. they’re great for coverage but not capacity and speed. starlink is leo thus more sats for greater capacity and higher speed. however, if a bunch of 69 campers hang around a mountain summit for a session of kumbaya and try to live-stream the event, it will have congestion issues. for a couple live-streaming their sexploits on top of their rv, it won’t be a problem. but if 6.9 dozen couples do the same shit at the same time and place there’ll be capacity issues. 5g cellular on the other hand is designed for high capacity and speed with 256 x 256 mimo antennas and 5g modem chipsets. apple just successfully launched their in-house designed 5g modem chip, weaning itself from qualcomm’s grip on the radio chip. with their own chip they can incorporate any sat modem with ease.If starlink works on phones, this is like Uber revamping the taxi industry. But starlink will still need ground repeaters to work in sheltered areas.
ccp blocks starlink (and other sats) geographically over tiongcock.Meaning ? No need to use simba, no need to use SingTel and no need to use StarHub ?
Can use starlink to watch porn and video call Pinoy maids ?
Can use starlink in communist country ?
no lah. in congested and densified sg, still need terrestrial 5g and may be 6.9g cumming soon.Meaning staff in SingTel and StarHub will be jobless soon ?
5G signal is weak when indoors.i worked with meo sats before. they’re great for coverage but not capacity and speed. starlink is leo thus more sats for greater capacity and higher speed. however, if a bunch of 69 campers hang around a mountain summit for a session of kumbaya and try to live-stream the event, it will have congestion issues. for a couple live-streaming their sexploits on top of their rv, it won’t be a problem. but if 6.9 dozen couples do the same shit at the same time and place there’ll be capacity issues. 5g cellular on the other hand is designed for high capacity and speed with 256 x 256 mimo antennas and 5g modem chipsets. apple just successfully launched their in-house designed 5g modem chip, weaning itself from qualcomm’s grip on the radio chip. with their own chip they can incorporate any sat modem with ease.
if you travel the world on a ship or plane and need internet access, leo sat is the way to go. you get coverage more than 69% of the earth’s surface area. polar regions may be challenging unless the sat system dedicates orbits around the polar areas. when you’re hiking in the mountains like the rockies and himalayas, you get very little cellular coverage if not none at all. but with sat, you can pump your mistress on a slope (not covered staircase) and play an online game at the same time or live-stream your piak piak session.May I know what is better ? Use Huawei 100g or use starlink ? Which system is good for mankind ?
5g still need indoor antennas and repeaters as higher frequencies don’t “bend” and penetrate as well as lower frequencies.5G signal is weak when indoors.
2-bars 5G signal-strength is weaker than 2-bars 4G signal strength.
China has Beidou link, at fraction of cost
China should focus on not starving to death, and leave the high tech stuff to the adults.![]()
ccp copycat of starlink is not beidou but spacesail. beidou is copycat of navstar or gps. spacesail has only managed to launch less than 690 sats into low earth orbit while starlink already has 6.9k in orbit. by 2030 starlink will have 42k. securing those orbits early is key in winning the leo sat race. sats can always be upgraded and replaced. for starlink to work on phones the sats have to be more powerful to reduce antenna size in phones. ccp always behind. no surprise as they need to follow and copy.China has Beidou link, at fraction of cost
