Sheng Siong raise 30% hike in rent at 5 wet markets

To those who support Sheng Siong. Aren't you glad that the money that you spent there had indirectly caused miseries to other Sinkaporeans?

STALLHOLDERS at the five wet markets taken over by Sheng Siong last year will have to pay 30 per cent more in rent from next month.

The stallholders at the five markets - in Serangoon, Bukit Batok, Fajar Road and two in Choa Chu Kang - were informed of the increase by the supermarket chain earlier this month.

Stallholders The Straits Time spoke to said they were handed one-year contracts to sign. Currently, they pay about $1,500 to $3,000 in rent and are on a two-year contract.

No matter the son dating elite or not. The fact is that they had raised the rental in less than a year after taking over. They are either trying to suck the stallholder dry or forcing them to leave.

What I heard some months back at my fav ba kut teh store at Binjai is that.

Someone also asked him to tell which elite. I only heard the answer....."big, strong, and not so friendly"....and the group burst out into laughter and left.
