Based on what they are able to control, it is very unlikely that they will not form the government in next several GE.
They may lose one or two GRC and one or two SMC.

If PAP is worry of election, better for pap to implement emergency state of Singapore and stop the election in Singapore. Learn from China. No election

The govt knows that educated S'poreans are not ignorant about how they have been milking us dry all these decades; legalised corruption is when the authorities act like the Mafia.

When a govt decides their own salary, which is obscene to the average S'porean, it does not make these politicians honest because the humongous amount of cash is paid into their bank accounts monthly. Even a bank robber would retire if huge amounts of $$$ are deposited into his account every month without any effort from him.

SINGAPORE: Singapore is prepared to move forward amid global uncertainties, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Saturday (Feb 22), adding that the nation does not have to worry or fear as the government has been preparing for such situations "for a very long time".

"We have good plans which will enable us to move forward with confidence − plans for this year to come ahead, and plans for many years beyond this year, and stretching beyond," he said during a speech at the Teck Ghee Education Merit Awards at Townsville Primary School.

Don't celebrate so soon. Japan brought down liberal Democrats but after one term of opposition rule, they decided to bring them back.
Sinkie opposition has no distinctive leader. Nobody like trump. They dare not announce be vocal and offer alternative solution to problems the people are voicing.

Half of workers in Singapore are unhappy with their salary – here’s why

Professionals in Singapore are setting their sights on modest salary increments for 2025, with nearly half anticipating a 2.5% to 5% raise, while about a third expect a more generous 6% to 10% increase, according to the latest data from HR services firm Hays.

However, despite these adjustments, a significant 52% feel their compensation fails to match their responsibilities – a trend that suggests lingering dissatisfaction with pay structures.

The 2025 Hays Asia Salary Guidereveals that salary increments in the past year were largely driven by individual performance rather than promotions or job changes. This highlights a shift in how companies reward talent.

Yet, economic uncertainty looms, with 35% of respondents expressing a pessimistic outlook on Singapore’s growth trajectory over the next two to five years.

In Singapore, the recent resignation of two nominated members of parliament (NMP) amid speculation that they intend to contest the coming general election has sparked debate about a potential flaw in the scheme that could undermine its non-partisan status.

In an unprecedented move last Friday, lawyer Raj Joshua Thomas and psychiatrist Syed Harun Alhabsyi informed the speaker of parliament that they intended to resign before the end of their 2½ year term, which was scheduled to conclude in November, or when parliament is dissolved for the coming general election.

In his resignation letter, Syed Harun noted how nominated and elected MPs had differing roles and said he intended to explore an “opportunity for political service”.

Meanwhile, Thomas wrote: “I remain dedicated to serving Singapore and Singaporeans to the best of my abilities. I am contemplating doing so in a different way, in which it would be appropriate for me to resign as an NMP at this time.”

Their remarks effectively suggested they were considering partisan politics, analysts said, which is out of sync with the NMP scheme.
