[Sg] - Uncle selling EGGS from his van at HDB carpark, got long queue

Long ago during Christmas season, me and gf and 3 of her friends bought raw cheap materials and hand made into Xmas accessories. The cost of raw material was about $80.
We sold them at orchard, items price ranged from $2 to $20.
There was only 1 item specially made by me, a fancy Xmas shades, and I priced it myself at $20, very fast sold away KNN if I know I sell higher.
Before end of the day, we were spotted by supposingly plain clothes tey gu and they told us to stop or else he will invite us to office and get fine.
Luckily 90% of the items has been sold.
It was a fruitful selling experience being able to tally our earnings to about $1.5k and shared among 5 pax.
Although the effort was greater than $300 but it was fun.

I'm sure the PAP regime will not like this because he didn't pay protection money to the only mafia in town. Back in the 1980s I have seen and still remember seeing real farmers selling eggs and veggies at HDB town centres.
The Mafia ensures that any business that operates within its territory has to pay protection money.
The SG Govt says that any person or business (even gambling) within its territory has to pay their dues.
The similarity is uncanny indeed.

3. It is NOT an illegal act, as those eggs would have passed thru our stringent ICA checks & allowed thru. How he sell those eggs is NOT within the purview of ICA, in our Rule of Law Nation that supports ENTREPENEURSHIPS.

Are you sure is not Illegal? LOL.

The truck would arrive at the carpark on Thursday mornings.

"These eggs look and taste just like normal eggs, so I will eat them, but I still have doubts about where they came from," said Mr Luo, who pointed out that the eggs had no barcode or stamp on the shell.

Singapore Food Agency said all locally-produced and imported eggs must be stamped to ensure that the source can be traced in compliance with the food safety standards set by the authorities.

Salmonella poisoning is a significant concern with eggs, as they can be contaminated with the bacteria, which may cause foodborne illnesses if eggs are not handled properly or come from unlicensed farms.

he was selling eggs on the spot, not pre-order and collection.

You see all the uncles selling old items by the roadside they all have license de woh.

As for whether is online orders and leeleeverlee, they invite uncle to office first then talk. Online will have leecords.
If uncle cannot prove it, he will be charged for giving false info the public servant.
parking is rendered illegal for the same reason that the driver has found a way to not give protection money

Never mind lowiq sinkies love expensive oil and eggs. Fuck them. It is malaysias price control on essentials like egg chicken and other meats thats saving tardsinkies. But they will never get thay

The SG govt loves to claim that it "shields" the people from rising costs when it is their policies which make inflation worse. In fact, it is the "corrupt" Malaysian govt that is subsidising the price of essential goods for its people.
