No mortal is perfect. We Humans have to make mistakes to learn, correct & progress.
The root of the issue is that
a) Many would like the feel the vibes of an ethnic celebration
b)Singapore is just TOO SMALL to hold such celebrations within a small area.
Solution:- DECENTRALIZATION of ethnic celebrations & concerts.
1) Focus upon the majority of ethnic groups within Township thru research studies
2) Decentralize ethnic celebrations or concerts to FOUR locations, with equal funding for such activities as well as co-operation from biz enterprises/Tourism board.
eg- Chingay procession - Chinatown, Hougang, Bishan, Yishun
- Hari Raya Bazzar - Geylang, Bedok, Tampines, Jurong
- Depavali - Little India, Jurong, Serangoon, Sembawang
-Christmas/New Year - Orchard Rd, Bt Timah, Shenton Way, Holland rd.
Taylor Swift/Blackpink type concerts - Township stadiums such as National Stadium, Jurong stadium, Jln Besar, Bishan.
3) MPs of those areas can assigned research & marketing supports to dedicated leaders to create the vibes, & even improvements of infrastructure to attract DAILY tourists to their areas.
4) With FOUR locations - the logistics & security arrangements would be better managed & foresighted, & no doubts - costs would rise. However to continue holding such major events with ONE small confined area is asking for disasters to happen.
