Residents of Ho Swee Hill HDB flats complained that the tap water in their homes becomes hot for at least six hours from noon to evening every day, making it impossible to take a shower, and they have to collect water in advance every day for backup.

Zeng Laixing (61 years old, coffee shop owner), who lives on the sixth floor of Block 6, Jalan Bukit Ho Swee, Tiong Bahru, complained to Shin Min Daily News that the tap water in his home is very hot from 12 noon to 6 pm every day, making it difficult to take a shower. In the past year, due to the hot weather, the water temperature has also become higher, which has troubled him even more.

He said: "Whenever it's sunny, the water is as hot as turning on a water heater, sometimes even hotter and scalding."

Zeng Laixing said that it was difficult for him to take a shower when he got home after work at 4 pm every day. He could only ask his mother to fill three or four buckets of water in the morning so that he could use it when he came back in the afternoon.

He said that the water temperature is normal on cloudy or rainy days, but the weather was very hot before, so he had to wait until the water temperature dropped in the evening before taking a shower.
