Mr Akbar was therefore awarded S$5,932.55 in damages, with interest.

Only about 6k need to put in so much effort and time including getting lawyer to process everything. IMO, it should be 60k, then worth the whole hassle.

It's crazy how the defense lawyer got him to admit he wasn't paying taxes to IRAS while still trying to win the damages from the car accident. I mean, it’s one of those situations where the rider probably just wanted to focus on the accident and get some compensation, but then it all backfired with the tax evasion part. If you're ever caught in an accident and facing similar issues, it's a good idea to have solid legal support. No matter what, you'll want someone who knows what they're doing, especially if things get complicated. If you need advice or help in that department, checking out Best Tulsa Car Accident Lawyers could be a good move.

Not even enough to pay the lawyer. Now his lawyer will sue him for unpaid balance
He won the case and it's likely the Court will have ordered the Defendant to pay the Plaintiff's legal costs though not on a full indemnity basis.
