Three semi-drunk workers make unreasonable demands on you at a public place and you allow yourself to be chased away and then you go online to express your dissatisfaction!?! Greetings!

My wife and I were dining a Tekka Market recently.

There came 3 Indian Nationals sat at the same table , semi-intoxicated - demanding us to buy them dinner. They indicated they are working in one of our GLC. It was a Friday Evening. We rejected their demand and one in the group chased my wife and I away from the table. As we were trying not to upset ourselves in a Friday evening , we moved on.

The experience - especially less than a month after the Little India Crisis - make us have even more serious concerns about runaway public policies.

In my own country, we (my wife and I) were treated in such manner (being chased away by Foreign Workers -earning a living here) and no law and police came to the rescue for such an act.

If you ,Mr Shanmugan or the Prime Minister is being treated in such manner in your own country of domicile; how would you feel?

May I may iterate the PM speech recently; that "all Singaporeans" are equal and those wearing T-Shirts with Holes are equally respected; would you account our feelings of displacement as "Xenophobia"?

I would suggest you organized another Our Singapore Conversation on Foreign Worker Policy and send me an invitation as I would like to contribute to my beloved country and help ease the pain and insults ,( some of our country cousins had been "branded" recently) - as there are sustainable solutions to mitigate such issue. Wah, you are very thorough, checked his fb profile and all that. I didn't and won't bother to go through all that, not paid to do so, so I just read the posting and took the story as it was told. It didn't cross my mind whether his antagonists (if we can use that term) were Indians or other race, that doesn't bother me. Upon thinking a little deeper about this case, it crossed my mind that the three blokes could have been just joking, an extreme and warped sense of humour may have been in play at the time when they were in their drunken stupor and just made a gag about demanding a free meal. The story did not mention that they threatened Raymond or forced their demands on him. He could have just taken it badly. He should have just told them to suck his dick. I would have.

Don't bother with some conspiracy theory suspicions here either. I was hoping this wouldn't be true cos who likes to be at the end of such bullying especially by shit skins and your whole theory that it might be a joke doesn't cut it.
