Man violates female tutor

A man broke into the house of a female tuition teacher to rob and violate the woman. For the crime, he has been sentenced to 18 years jail and 24 strokes of the cane.
The convicted Lin Zhi Chang (47, unemployed), a serial criminal, had intruded on the woman's house on 26 July 2009. He remained in the house from 1.30am to 4am that morning, and during that time, took away more than $4,500 worth of cash, watches and jewellery.
Not satisfied with merely money, he also attacked the woman by groping her private parts and taking pornographic photos of her.
The woman submitted to him as she was afraid for the safety of her 4-year-old daughter. Her husband is a foreigner who works overseas and returns to Singapore only three times a year.
When the accused was convicted, the court also heard that he behaved in an arrogant manner during his attack.
He had threatened the victim, saying that he will return to look for her if she reports to the police. He also told her that her husband will leave her if he finds out that she has been violated.
After committing the crime, he even called his female friends to brag about the deed.
