Your question does not affect me but I am curious to know where you feel the threat to Singapore may come from? Any of the ASEAN nations in your list? Terrorist group(s)? From my observation, I don't see any military threat/disturbance to Singapore other than disgruntled voices from certain pockets of her own population. Singapore has good relations with every other country with the exception of North Korea but I don't think Singapore has even crossed the mind of their great leader Kim. Overall, I'd do not see any potential foes for the nation. Wish to know your views.

Can you explain what possible scenarios for mobilisation there are? Realistic scenarios - not fairy stories like war with our neighbours, who really have no issue with us other than posturing, from time to time.

i can think of only disaster management: ie.
1. building or road collapse - eg. Hotel New World, MRT tunnel collapse, etc
2. Chemical Spill or Oil fire - eg. on a ship, shipyard, oil refineries, etc
3. flood - eg. orchard road, etc
4. major accident - eg entire PIE jammed due to 15 car pile up in each direction, or MRT catch fire in tunnel
5. prisoner escape -eg. Mas Selamat


I guess in extreme scenarios of the above they may need to mobilise active NSF units.. maybe, maybe it may escalate to require a couple of reserve units on standby. Other than that, unless it's just their practice mobilisations, I don't think there are any situations where we shall be mobilised for real active ops.
