It's perfectly normal for flat owners to sell their flats so that they can cash in on the property boom. If you are starring at a paper profit of $150k in your face, which sane property owner is going to resist and say "no" to $$$$?
The whole problem lies with the pap's fucked up hdb policies ( i'm in 100% agreement with GMS) which allow flat owners to buy & sell flats like stocks and shares in the open market, providing "instant gratification" to flat owners who need money urgently.
