Selfish bastard living in Punggol East SMC

Dear Mr Ricky Goh,

WP has heard your pleas. On 26th jan, make sure you vote for WP; vote for Ah Lian. If she comes in, you can leave the rest to her.

If PAP comes in, and you had voted them, then repent. If you didnt vote them but they still came in, then continue to make noise and tell all your relatives, neighbouirs and freinds to vote WP next time.

WP sympathiser.

Ricky Goh could be a PR. He wants what Singaporeans can enjoy. He probably cannot vote but tried to influence others who have voting power. Did we not know there are many PRs in Punggol area?

Then he should vote for PAP.
Because they command the majority in Parliament and they are the Government and they come up with all the policies and law that lead to what we are today.
No opposition have the power to lower cost of living in the way he wanted.

If he understand by now a single party won't work, then the long term goal is to vote more opposition in and deny 3/4 majority seats to PAP, only then things can change.

Actually, living in some estate can be cheaper on your pocket than others. If you compare SengKang and Toa Payoh, the former is more expensive as TPY has lots more nice and cheap food. The kopitiam beside compasspoint is so expensive that it is a ghost town.

This guy is not wrong that all the things that the residents are asking for is ultimately to lower their living cost. But I doubt PAP will do much.

To add to your observations -

1 Most of the food outlets in Sengkang are pricy as compared to other estates. Not only that, they are usually manned by a bunch of PRs (used to be Malaysians initially and now mostly PRCs) and their food quality and quantity are pitiful and unpalatable. NTUC Fairprice Economy rice stall in Block 308 for instance charges $3.00 for 2 veg and 1 meat despite having stated price of $2.90 on the stall's lighted advertisement board. Generally, the price for two vegs and a meat for other estates would range from 2.6 to $2.70. The hawkers themselves seemed always new hands and the food they dish out have odd taste or poorly cooked.
2 Similarly bad situation for the provision shops or econ minimarts - they may be the only one for blocks around, but that does not justify them to charge $1.00 for just three small potatoes or $2 for a small packet of small onions when you can get a whole sack of 3 - 5 kg potatoes (about 50-60 pieces in each) or onions for between $4 to $6 in other estates. The bloody keleng girl at ah neh shop at Block 308 wanted to charge a bunch of 4 bananas at $3.40, more expensive than at Cold Storage.

The question residents would like to know is why after more than 15 years, Sengkang and surrounding areas (Punggol East, AMK or whatever, depending on the gerrymendering) so poorly developed in terms of amenities - no cinemas, no postboxes along the streets (except where it is near to a shopping centre), no busy busy wet market places (except at Riverdale Mall which is atrocious now) with a mix of other shops like other estates?

Why should residents there continue to suffer and for how long? Whose fault and who is sleeping??:mad:
