A security guard claims that he found his missing wife in the red light district in Geylang.
According to the 51-year-old man, his 48-year-old wife had previously been lured by another man, so she had abandoned her family and disappeared.
One day, the man’s friend asked him along to check out the red light district streets after he had helped fix a motorcycle.
While walking along the streets, the man saw a woman who looked like his wife sitting next to a man.
The man said he was furious after he realised the woman was indeed his wife and tried to ask her to leave with him.
The man standing beside her, however, said he had been instructed to look after her.
The two men then got into an argument.
The husband added that when he saw his wife in Geylang, she appeared to be in a trance. He believes she may have been given drugs.
The husband eventually managed to drag his wife home but she disappeared again during the night.
He said that for the past year or so, his wife had left home on numerous occasions.
“I have filed police reports many times. However, every time I found her, she will disappear again when I go to work,” the man said.
He has two children with his wife. The security guard added that they got married after his wife got pregnant. Their two children are said to be still young and are currently being taken care of by his mother.
He said he once found her in the bed of her supervisor when she was working as a cleaner at a coffee shop but he said he has forgiven her for the incident.
