the alternatives can be a substitute best if only they prioritise the concern of citizens before their own personal gains should they win any wards. if not even if in the event, they do win, such dream cannot last for long.

we have witnessed how chiam see tong's SDP won 4 wards and eventually lost everything back after chee soon juan took over. if the 4 winners had been for the peasants, they should be holding steadfast to their position but their true nature was revealed and sadly, they were gone as soon as the wards were won.
