A group of about 30 Burmese activists in the United Kingdom held a demonstration on the 29 Aug 08 in front of the Singapore Embassy. The demonstrators were members and supporters of Burma's Kachin National Organisation.

The group called for the Singapore government to stop its human rights abuses on Burmese people in Singapore, and to stop supporting the Burmese junta through its commercial and diplomatic dealings.

The group = The demonstrators were members and supporters of Burma's Kachin National Organisation, not SDP.

What an unintelligent comparison!!?? SDP website belongs to a politcal party, like any other run by the PAP, WP, NSP, SPP.

But ST claims to be a national daily, speaking on behalf of the country and people as the mainstream media and not under the control of any politcal party!!

KNN these people should not just get their Visa not renewed, they should be forced to paddle their way back to Myanmar.
