According to Sindhu’s post on Jan. 14, the kitten was alive when her husband found her. However, she was dragging herself along, and moaning in pain.

She said that the kitten, which was discovered at a “heavy industrial area”, could have possibly been run over by a vehicle or crushed by machinery.

Her husband immediately took her to Mount Pleasant, an animal hospital, where they discovered that her anus and hind legs had been crushed.

The vet also said that the bottom half of the kitten’s body will be permanently paralysed.

She is only about one month old.

Sindhu said that they were faced with two options: euthanise her, or find her an experienced fosterer.

The couple expressed their unwillingness to take up the first option, and so, they are hoping for the latter.

You like cats. interested to adopt?
I want but I never rear a cat before. My experience is 3 dogs. I do love cats a lot and have been looking for one to adopt. But I am not sure how competent I am to look after a special needs cat in my first attempt should I decide to do it...

The cat looks very cute indeed. Yes, taking care of it will be tough.

I always see in American animal documentaries that they can fix a roller wheel to the paralyzed legs of dogs... I wonder Sinkyland has such expertise...

If the cat is not local, maybe government will support.

Check this SG couple, Mike and Dorothy, of Happy Wheels for Furkids FB page. They will custom make a set of wheels for the lame kitten. They adopted a dog who was born with no front legs and made him a set of wheels. The kitten is still very young and it would be a shame to put it to sleep. Mike and Dorothy made a set of wheels for my lame cat who is old, born in Jun 2003, and is weak and paralysed. The nice couple even recommend that I buy baby nappies instead of wasting money on pet nappies. I use Huggies large for my lame cat. Hope kitten gets adopted and live a long and happy life!
