S Iswaran still smoke to cover for Singapore flyer disaster

After the disastrous Singapore Flyer ‘mishap’ which made us a laughing stock in the developed world, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry S Iswaran still dare to smoke to defend his Ministry’s gross ineptitude in allowing such an accident of castastrophic proportions to occur.

Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry S Iswaran said: “The Flyer management have to get things rectified and assure the authorities of the safety standards because this is going to be critical if they are going to resume their business.

My take: Even a primary school kid knows this ! Aren’t you stating the obvious, Mr Iswaran. Who else will want to pay S$50 to get stranded up in the middle of the sky 40 storeys high for 5 hours ??

“But I think Singapore’s offerings as a tourism destination go beyond the Flyer. We have a wide range of attractions that people come to see.”

S Iswaran is just a small fry. The fact that they had to send this chap to explain the obvious either demonstrates how little they care about the whole thing OR that they are so embarrassed that they had to send this chap.

Before he even made a sound, I didn't know that he was a minister of state.
