LTK and Png Eng Huat are well loved by their residents. LTK chose to retire at 63yrs and PEH at 58yrs old. They are replaced by Pritam Singh, 46yrs and Dennis Tan, 49yrs.

LHL is 68yrs old, wants to retire. TCH is 66 yrs, not well liked and wishes he is retired. GCT was trying to hang on to his MP's post at 79 yrs. PAP's next leader is 59 yr old fumbler, HSK

PAP has many young stars, Jamus (44yrs), Nicole Seah (33yrs), HTR (37yrs) and Raeesah (26yrs). In contrast, PAP has HSK and CCS (50yrs)

Is WP the rising star and PAP the fading star in SG politics?

LKY would not have imagined the pap he founded is fading so quickly so fast

More work needs to be done on the ground by the alternative parties, listening to the folks, serving them, etc...

Yes. That's the way to go. PAP's strategy of parachuting candidates in at the last minute is no more appealing or relevant. WP has the right strategy...Png Eng huat, Sylvia Lim, Dennis Tan, He Ting ru, Lee Li Lian all pounded the streets and listened to the ground. Can PAP say the same for their candidates?

Few join the pap willingly. Most of their candidates were headhunted, approached and offered the candidacy. PAP candidates think they are God's sent to lord over singaporeans, so different from WP's candidates

Jumping the gun and making reckless statements again. The hallmarks of an Oppo loser.

A realistic objective analysis is not a reckless statement. Which part of the analysis you disagree?

A dimming star like pap which is surviving on LKY's glory is a fading star. LKY has been dead for 5yrs. PAP will be dead in 5 to 10yrs time

Would not use the rising star and fading star analogy....

Instead more like bees to honey (WP) versus flies to shit (PAP).

Good analogy. WP is honey. PAP is shit. I agree

PAP still has NOT wake up. Next GE, Opposition 53% PAP 47%. Then Pinky will cry KPKB but too late.

PAP has bad DNA. Never mind, Our hope is not for pap to change. Our hope is that Singaporeans wake up and vote not for housing estate issues but for the future of Singapore and for the future of their grandchildren. If singaporeans wake up and choose to vote for what's important rather than municipal issues, pap will lose its super majority at the next GE.

And in 10 yrs time, at GE 2030, pap will be the Opposition or offered the NCMP posts.

Dont say it is not possible for pap to become the Opposition in 2030

politician is like wine. Value goes up with age. If Mahathir can still be PM at 90 plus what more can be said ?

Mahathir is unique. Mahathir has charisma and is his own man. Do you think GCT carries the same aura? GCT has been expired since 2015. If he were to stand at East coast GRC, I think he would be eaten alive by Nicole Seah

I won't put it as raising star as WP still got a long way in terms of size to challenge pap. But the party seems to have found the right formula and footing after 15 years of rebranding.

What next for WP is to attract more candidates and volunteers to contest in more seats. But be wary of expanding too fast and attract people with the wrong mindset. The party is littered with many negative examples , Eric Tan, Poh Lee Guan, Sanjeev etc.

correct...but WP's star is rising now whereas pap's star is fading. Just look at the pap ministers announced this afternoon...3rd rate

This was what many felt in the 90s when opposition captured 4 seats but SDP disappointed us. Things in Politics don't happen linearly. A week is a long time in politics and here we are talking about 20 to 30 years down the road for WP. Anything can happen.

Let keep our fingers cross
