Result of Opposition Meeting: 3 areas in three-corner fights

Rubbish. WP mostly ignores other parties which shows they neither want to start a quarrel nor want to be in one, which was why some people said they were arrogant. How can someone be arrogant for not responding and quarrelsome at the same time? How can you quarrel by not responding - except in the eyes of PAP supporters or zero-sum-game oppo supporters who want to pick on it and single them out and distort perceptions.

GMS of PPP shot at WP for 4 years but WP ignored him all the way.

Most important question that needs to be asked is, who stands a better chance of winning?

Agree with your views on WP. Given the quality of their chaps, no other parties come close. Even if they "M&A" all their resources. Better for NSP to fight in places where PAP is strongest. NSP don't stand a chance in GRC. Width and depth not there. They can participate for the sake of participating.

....WP is a lost cause. It is a party that has no desire to govern sinkapore, it just wants to be second fiddle to the PAP. That's not a party that I would want to support.

Not wanting to govern Sinapore...? That is just cock talk by LTK, lah. He has learnt to speak like LKY, saying one thing but meaning another thing.

Give LTK enough support to gain control of Parliament in coming GE, would he decline to govern Sinapore? He will be the first one to sing majullah singapura...:)

Yes all part of the strategy and Master Plan. If he gets 2 or 3 GRCs under his belt, he will talk differently. Then he better form a shadow cabinet to get ready!

Whenever there is 3CF, the pappies stand to gain...NSP is far below the rung of oppie popularity...top of the list is WP and below this rung is SDP which looks like the oppie party likely to kick pappies' butt in Parliament.

As for the RP, it would be better if KJ could speak dialects to gain votes and respect from the ah peks and ah sohs. Do it the way LKY had done. Speak dialects like Hokien or Cantonese to reach more voters.

.... if LTK did not want to form next Govt, he should have given up his seat as Sec Gen of WP. LTK only following what LKY had done..assuring people the country in safe hand if pappies remain main driver .... hahaha...the co-driver is the assassin, ready to kill off the main driver when the time is ripe...All politicians are good double talker like Lee Tai Soh or Ong Toh in Rediffusion spinning fairy tales...

for the newer parties, their interested constituencies are all booked by other parties which contested previously. from a party's point of view, contesting the election is the purpose of their existence, so they die die must contest the election. contesting multiple-cornered fights is better than not contesting at all. they might as well fold up the party if they don't contest the election.

there are simply not enough constituencies for the so-called 11 opposition political parties. for the newer parties, their interested constituencies are all booked by other parties which contested previously. from a party's point of view, contesting the election is the purpose of their existence, so they die die must contest the election. contesting multiple-cornered fights is better than not contesting. they might as well fold up the party if they don't contest the election.

They can follow Chia Ti Lik's example.
