if what we do is upright, the clones might not like it as it goes against their dreadful motives and the more reason they have to resort to cheapskate tactic. but the righteous, patriotic and chilvarous shall stand out to defend it. so far when u observe the way those loser clones's incessant sliming, u know they are up to no good. and if u probe deeper, u would eventually realise they are usually from the SDP IB.'

Actually, I read only what I want/like to read, or in the case of this forum, whatever is amusing, so it doesn't bother me even if someone spews crap. Like I said, sometimes its fun - and, I agree with you here - it is free speech.

Gahmen says, ST publishes. ST's editorial never never spot anything to criticise about authority, nor practice upright reporting (political that is). I don't consider it a newspaper, it is a newsletter. And for a major English newspaper, there isn't even a daily crossword. There should be another paper - at least so folk can place classified ads in there.

There has been an abuse of power by forummer Ramseth.

Ramseth has banned two people in the past 48 hours for making remarks that are at best casual banter. There was no revealing of private information or other serious misconduct that warrant a ban.

As HedgeTrader pointed out and the Infraction Log shows, Ram is not happy that his pic has been floated in this forum. That is private information, but whether it warrants a ban I'm not so sure.

Ram's "handsome good looks" has always been an issue in this forum, and he has always been the chief promoter of his handsome good looks. And Ram is not exactly anonymous. If the same person decides to float GMS' pic in the forum, nothing will happen to him. The same with RonRon's avatar.

I wouldn't say Ram is upset because he feels his pic may not match up with the "self praise" that he has been lauding himself. I think he is just not prepared for such an event. But Ram must bear some responsibility if he is angry merely because his pic is now in public eyes.

As for Clinton666, his infraction may be just a red herring.

If Ramseth values his anonymity, then he should stick to his nick, and not let anyone know his real identity. He did NOT do this. In the OLD sammyboy forum, he proudly declared his real name. He even changed his Masthead once to his real English name and surname. And then a few months ago there was the interview with Tessa Wong which he happily acknowledged his real name in THIS forum.

There are many people here I know in real life. I respect their privacy absolutely, and they accord me the exact same respect. No pics, no real names, that is basic courtesy. I don't see Ramseth valuing this kind of courtesy and basic respect. I can keep on banning anyone forever if I want to pursue a vendetta. So can about seven or eight others here. But we don't do it for fun, ego or vendetta. We usually give the guy 24 hours to cool off his flame and forget it and let life goes on and we go our own ways. Leongsam can exterminate anyone for good in one stroke.

Whether my infraction and banning are legit and justified, it's up to you all forummers as jury and Leongsam as host to judge.

You missed the point. TFBH and SSRRVV11 has a problem with me claiming to be handsome and flamed every other topic out of topic based on that. What's the problem with someone claiming to be handsome that you have to destroy the topics of threads after threads? You and they can claim to handsome too. I don't need anyone to agree that I'm handsome and no innocent forummers want anyone to dispute whoever's handsome hijacking their topics and threads.

They're just showing themselves to be sick insecure and ugly people who jump up and down on everyone just because someone says he's handsome. Am I that handsome? Certainly not in the ranks of Pierce Brosnan, Tom Cruise or Andy Lau. But I've made the context very clear and many intelligent forummers who understood. Everyone should think of him/herself as most handsome/beautiful regardless of how others look. Live a beautiful life for yourself.

Btw who has been giving ram so many pts? I understand that some forummers engage in the "you scratch my back i scratch yours" philosophy here. In the other forum it's called building your war chest. Therefore forummers pm or up another forummer hoping to get pts in return. They pm or up other forummers hoping to get upped in return. In short building their war chest. Of course nowadays there's not much point in doing this but back in the days that was what was going on. I had a mod PM me asking me to give him pts too.


In any case the infraction pts thing is long over and gone. TFBH brought up this issue when he saw 2 forummers being banned by ram and it's true that ram can ban them forever but of course he won't. It won't be smart of him to do that cos then there'll be some sort of outcry and then sam will come in to intervene just like the last time raising the bar and banning of the clones etc.

I do see your point, however not everyone has the same POV. To you yes it showcases your extreme confidence and zest for life but to others it seems like you're a proud braggart that doesn't have what it takes to back up his talk. Most ppl cannot stand braggarts though. There's always someone waiting in the shadows to tear down someone up there.

And when Thick Face Black Heart had infraction power, he infracted me 4 times with 48 hours for no other reason than he disagreed with me all the way to a ban. I could have infracted him and banned him first because I was more powerful. That's abuse of power. He abused it. I wouldn't. I didn't retaliate. I just took a break and forget it. I neither believe in returning points for points nor infraction for infraction. That's the hypocrite now pretending to speak for justice. He insults justice.

There is a big difference. For Tom Cruise and the rest, the pics are available. For Ram, it's pure "word of mouth", and worse still, "right from the horse's mouth". They have the right to be unhappy with your vanity, just like you have the right to pursue a personal vendetta without having to justify your infraction.

It's possible that people are not happy with your claiming that you're handsome (even without being invited to comment) because they feel insecure.

But the statement will make more sense if your pic was available together with your "word of mouth" advertisement. I think without the pic being available (and to a certain extent with the truth within acknowledged) it's premature to say that these people are unhappy because they're insecure of your good looks. Until your good looks are proven to be true, nobody should feel insecure. There is still a stage that must be overcome - the truth. And I would say that they're just trying to force the truth out into the public arena.

Now that your pic available, I believe no one bothers with your "word of mouth" advertisement anymore. Either they have come to accept that you're indeed very handsome as you claimed, or that it's simply not true that you're handsome.

If the point, as you claimed, is "flaming every topic out of topic", did it ever occur to you that by promoting your handsome good looks in other people's threads you're also guilty of derailing a topic out of a topic ? Unless of course if the topic of the thread is created specifically to discuss your good looks.
