Repeat offender jailed 2 years for sex with minor

In 2009, a 15-year-old student reported to the police that she had been threatened by her older lover into carrying on the relationship. It was then found out that she had sex with at least three other men in the past.

Three of them have been dealt with. On Thursday, it was Muhammad Farhan Jumadi's turn and he was sentenced to two years in jail.

A district court heard that he had got to know the girl through the social network website www.alamak.com.sg in early 2008. They exchanged phone numbers and in one of their phone conversations, she told him that she was 14 years old.

He was then 21 years old and they met sometime in September or October at the Toa Payoh bus interchange. They smooched and had sex at a staircase landing of a block of flats nearby.
