<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->As a frequent user of public transport here, I have noticed that many commuters at bus interchanges choose not to queue in the designated lanes for their buses.
When the buses arrive, they would ignore those already in the queue and get on board.
It is the same scenario at MRT stations. Many commuters are not using the yellow boxes designated for those waiting to board the trains.
I suggest that bus captains be stationed at interchanges to remind passengers to queue up in the respective lanes.
And when MRT staff remind passengers to wait behind the yellow lines for their trains, they should also tell them to stand behind the yellow boxes.
I hope such measures can get more people to go back to queueing up for buses and trains. Saleha Mohamed Saleh (Miss)
