Sweet white wines goes well with Chinese food, some of the spicy reds like Merlot will go well with spicy food like those north Indian curries with cream or yoghurt in the sauce. Have you noticed Chinese New Year time always got offer for those damn sweet white wines! My rule is, always drink your wine with food & make sure less than 13% alcohol. Also make sure you chill your wines in SG, white as well as reds! In Angmo countries the wines are kept in cellars around 10C+ & served at room temperature, here storage & room temp. already 30C+ wah lao.. i think if you keep for 1 year it'll be drink vinegar
