i'd think those from ivy league or cambridge are booksmart, but if you see thoroughly, those from america after being influenced by their culture and people, seems to be better off than those from UK.

30% cheaper nowadays given the current exchange rate.

Imo, country and university does not really matter. It's up to the individual students. Does it mean a grad from Cambridge is 100% 'better' than one from Warwick? That a grad from Harvard is 'smarter' than one from Dakota?

I mentioned Harvard and Cambridge. Worked with/for these chaps in the SPF. No big deal. They can be very ordinary.

something very smart about UKer is that they never join euro, seems that this is a very smart move. and many years ago, their central bank actually sold off i think more than 50% percent of gold bullion at 500 to 600 USD per ounce. some say it's a very stupid move but i am awaiting to see if they are right...

Spot on ! Having an overseas education is another route of achieving a PR.

I am a good example.. From Poly to overseas degree.. now, a Technical Manager living in a good suburb (instead of Jurong HDB). Unlike your elites, my role involved in btw ground staff and management reporting, in particular persuasive and convincing skills to deal with Union Thugs. Upstream and Downstream, anything also can ! Management loves me !

its true us educations is very good and uk courses are also very good and all the points here have merit

but sometimes, the course dictates where you study, for law i tink uk better, for med, US better
and it is yes, almost impossible to get a job in uk now for a foreigner, the tories are really putting a squeeze on fts.

but on the whole, if you can afford it, pls send ur kids overseas for a degree,
i had local uni educated staff bef majority cannot think on their feet. those study overseas are more cocky and better suited for commerce.
