The Crown Prince of Thailand is worried when ex premier Tharksin is the government. He knows very well that Thaksin does not support him and had no respect for the Royal family. His way to the throne is being threaten if Tharksin is in control of Thailand

Democracy will not work in south east asia. Best stick to monarchies, iron-fisted dictatorships, communism and/or some radical religon.
Remember human civilisation began in the temperate belt so that we northerners can come to the tropics for summer holiday.

If what you say is true, why would the Crown Prince be worried? The Thais would respect him the way they do his father.

The reality is the Thais don't respect him the way they do his father for whom many Thais have said to me they would willingly lay down their lives. King B cannot however rise about his familial concerns. He is the one orchestrating the unseating of Thaksin the one person with the popular clout to relegate his son to a marginal status or worse still abolish the monarchy. Can't be done? Think Nepal.

This truly is the sad thing about rule by familial ties.

anyone read the political history of Thailand knows that the King is still the ultimate ruler..and the army is still absolutely royal to the king...
can Taksin succeed...answer is NO...the thai people accept military coup like any sunday outing,,,bcos they know ultimately the King choose who he wants to be his prime minister...Thai people knows and respect their king ..that they can accept coup with no qualm at all...

Thing had change over the years when Thaksin was in control, the poor and the sick were well taken care off snd this led to Thaksin winning many loyal supporters. Which politician is not corrupted in Thailand? What had the crown prince does for his people ? Nothing heard of! The King is old and this is the right time to change.

all my Thai friends (not all people in Thailand) do not like Tharksin. they said that he plays politics and gains big money for himself. some of them even worry that he might influence the Crown Prince by all dirty means to further his gains.

why put Thaksin as the bad man? He did a lot of good for the poor Thais in the rural areas. its only the middle & upper class ecleons that are DL with him. He run Thailand like a corporation, which the powerful Thais in Bangkok dislike because they could grow fat like how they did under previous rulers. The army too, felt they are marginalised.

Thaksin was a multi-billionaire before he became PM,,,, The anti thaksin govt tried to try him for corruption, and finally only get him on abuse of power to buy cheap land,,,,,

How much did the govt lost in that land deal? BTW how much was the opportunity cost for the closure of International Airport,,, where is the promise to bring justice to people who disrupt the airport? No violence against them but violence against red shirt?

He use the peoples money to buy votes in the north..by giving minutes load to the farmers..to buy loyalty...
Can Thaksin overthow a established royalty with a few hundreds years ,,especially king Bumibol were such a extremely loved and respected king...the princess had done so much of charity and care for the extreme poor...

Just study the history of thailand....the Thais are very cohesive people and the royalty had been the nexus of gravity of the Thais...as the royal had fought with their lives over the century to protect the Thai people from the many invasions of the Cambodian, Nymmese who were many a times stronger than the thais...it was a historical bondages..not sometime a corrupted civilian leader called Thaksin can replaced and changed.......if you got any Thai friends ,,ask them about their histories and royalty..then you will understand..

A few years ago a thai friend who had studied in Spore told me that Thaksin was trying to be a LKY. He spent years in Spore, so he should know :p

Sporeans, at least 33% should understand the dangers of promises from an oppurtunist. Today we have the familee & Spore Inc and one of the highest emigration rates
