Rail component comes off train track

SINGAPORE: A small rail component measuring about 10 centimetres came off along the tracks near the Jurong East station, on Monday afternoon.

The rail component will be replaced on Monday night after passenger service.

A spokesman for SMRT said the incident took place at about 1.20pm.

Train service was not affected.

The spokesman added SMRT engineers have checked that it is safe for operations.

That pcs maybe stuck under the train and drag for few trip then drop off. I think there is bigger problem.

Very common what so big deal about it. Remember 1 time during inspection found 1 whole collector assembly missing also can run later after traffic hours then locate the item.
