Tah ChunOng Departmental Store bus-stop. Behind the green space used to be Tah Chung and further is what used to be the food centre. See the road behing the bus-stop? Used to be carpark of TAH Chung.

2-Storey market, see behind building is the Q'town Polyclinic. Van driving on same carpark drive way from Tah Chung.

Q'town Cinema & Bowl, NTUC is gone, blk 39A (bird shop) is gone. Now could see Q'town library clearly. Strange why cidnema still don't tear down.

My uncle rented bicycles under a banyan tree.... are u the bastards stole my bike?

Margaret Drive Hawker Centre is one of the newest food centres in Singapore opened on August the 1st last year however most of the stalls are really old like over 30 years old most moved from Tanglin Halt Food Centre about 1.2km away.

This new Margaret Drive Hawker Centre is located beside the old Margaret Drive Market, built in 1960 or 63 years ago it is now being conserved.

This is the old Margaret Drive Market now refurbished

He used to be at Mei Ling Street Market years back and then kept changing locations here and there.
Guy can be temperamental.

I'm surprised you didn't go to the Queenstown Library, another vintage building that has been conserved.

If you want a fantastic panoramic view, go to the roof garden of Skyville @ Dawson.

If you are adventurous enough, you can walk/cycle from Margaret Drive to Dempsey Hill. Find the open air carpark near a couple of churches, opposite Queensway Secondary School. The footpath leads you north to Ridout Road, then Peirce Road. Take a shortcut through the dirt path to the Dempsey Hill durian seller, and from there Dempsey Hill's eateries and pubs are nearby.

Being a NewTowner all that you described in your last paragraph brings back sweet memories. That durian seller Ah Tee (used to be at the carpark below) is the one I frequent.

Thanks

If you didn't mention I didn't realise. Thanks. You are correct. The only shopping there is is probably Queensway hahahaha.

A friend drove me to Beo Crescent for the famous Hainanese curry rice there.
