I support freedom of choice. Freedom to practice religion.Your response indicates sarcasm with an eye to insult. Shall I respond? I must because my religion demands that erroneous perceptions are corrected.
The whole exercise is to 'allow'. Not to force or compel. If a muslim woman wants to wear it, she can, now. If she refuses, then its ok. Its all about giving them their choices.
Now to the non muslim, its also the same. If they want to, they can put on the hijab. If not, then its ok too. But I suggest as nurses they do, for better hygiene.
The current law forbids the choice. That was what we muslims fought against.
I agree with you. Non muslim should be able to choose if they want to wear hijab or not.
What about Halal food?
Are non muslims allowed that choice too? Hawker centre and coffee shop can. But restaurant cannot. Macdonald's. Swensens. No pork period. No choice. Not even about pork. All food need to be halal. Halal chicken. Halal beef. No outside food. Not even baby food.
In Canada i see muslims going to Macdonalds and restaurants too even if they are not Halal certified. They just order what they want. And then the non muslims order what they want. Why is it not the same in SG or in muslim countries?
