However, the pricing news I got is about 1000 psf on average and about 6% discount after SPM price..

is this a good deal?

It is good to recognise all investors are helping to develop JB and not just China developers. Infact, all of us who bought are investors; just big or small investors. I think some people are bullish while some people are bearish on Iskandar; this is not call looking down on JB.

That I understand.....but claiming jb will be a ghost town is totally unacceptable and stupid. This kind of claim is a mockery to the investors in jb.

Everyone got a make a living. We all understand that. You started at a wrong footing. You claimed that JB is like New York, JB will be better than Singapore, Johore need not bothered about Singapore concern on reclaimation, etc which at this point in time is totally not relevant. Time has not come yet and you can claim that when it materialise, if it does at all. You do not pull others down to drive yourself up.
Concerns about Chinese developers are real. The developer Country Garden has a history of building ghost cities such as in Tianjin and in Mongolia. All we see today is about mega property launches and land reclaimation. And Johore has a long history of many abandoned projects as well.

We all love JB and hope to see it growing. We are all concerned. That is why the comments and questions come out. Why no one ever come out and say what highways they are going to build and how they disperse traffic problems. If you are a Johorean, you should ask what is the social impact of the influx migrants from these overseas buyers. If they live here, are they going to fight with you for your jobs, drive prices up, take up the school placements and public hospital beds, all of which these are paid for by our own tax payers. Growth is a good thing but controlled growth is more important than allowing free for all.

Don't get me wrong. I am a patriotic Malaysian and also vested in Johore. But please do not thumb at others. Promote your products on its own merits. The Edge Newspaper had a big double page pull out on this project Puteri Cove this week. It is impressive. Do not try to outdo their efforts. Have a nice day.

Are you implying that JB can never be on par with singapore in terms of its development? What a disappointment. This is the siege mentality statement. What you mean is actually Singapore are forever better than JB. Let me clarify that i did not thumb at others but many others are thumbing at JB Iskandar development. I am just defending what the johor state government is doing. Is that wrong? As mention again, comparing JB to Tianjin and Mongolia is totally absurb. Your worry of job, school placement, hospital taken away by foreigners is another non issue. JB have many international schools now..... we are building many specialist hospitals too and as for jobs there will be plenty in JB as there are significant growth in FDI in JB. To me the future look bright! So again....stop the ghosts town nonsense. The situation now JB is very different from the past because of the royal influence now on all major property development. Traffic jam is normal for develop city in JB in future....but wont be as bad as in KL. We will see more highways and flyover soon (eg. the most recent completion of flyover in tebrau).

Yes I know. But to put it in perspective, to be an international city, you need to increase the population from 1.7m to 4.5m. With 4.5m, a lot of work needs to be done too on the amenities/transportation part. There's hardly any international city with population < 4.5m.
