13-09-14: Mid Autumn Celebration 2013
Updated <abbr title="Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11:44am" data-utime="1379303048" class="timestamp">6 hours ago</abbr> · Taken at Block 120D Rivervale Crescent
It was a night for accompanying the moon in Punggol East. We ate, drank, played, joked, clapped, over 200 of us in a joyous mood, while the moon watched. Under the moon's gentle gaze, the children paraded their humble paper lanterns. A giant mooncake, baked by inmates and part proceeds goes to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, was sliced and shared. Li Lian serenaded the moon and she seemed to have smiled. Smiles were all round for the young contestants of the lantern making competition. My favourite was the traditional Chinese lantern made by a chinese-muslim resident, for it represented the best in Singaporeans. I hope the moon was a little less lonelier on Saturday night.
