In many local businesses, the whole bloody department are foreigners; they tell you that PRs are locals.
Let's define locals as local-born.
The best paying jobs don't end up with local-born, singaporeans get bullied, underpaid because CECAs, Malaysians, Pinoys and PRCs has no reservist obligations and once they head a certain department, they start to bring in their own kampung. 3M Singapore is helmed by so many malaysians now. Standard chartered bank's various departments are headed by indian chiefs, helpdesk or compliance audit so many indians now. Your OCBC bank got so much issues in recent years because their IT department in chulia street is like little india. the Even MBS hired so many PRCs and there are departments with just ZERO to 20% local-born.
It makes me wonder, we built the casino to ruin the families of locals and create good job for foreigners.
Looks like the best place to work is to nua in civil service.
