PROTESTERS SEEN HOLDING PLACARDS OUTSIDE THE ISATANA TODAY

Post date:
4 Apr 2015 - 6:39pm

Two people were seen apparently protesting outside the Istana today.

Dressed identically in red hoodies with the words "MuscleMeds" written on the back and jeans, two men were seen holding up placards while standing outside the Istana.

Their placards read "Injustice" and "You Can't Silence the People".

A TRS Reader shared that he saw the two men there at about 4:30pm and they were standing there quietly holding up their placards.
They were soon approached by police officers.

It is not currently known what exactly they were protesting.
Stay tuned for more updates.

try this in Pyongyang .
Why compare to Pyongyang? Why not in Thailand or closer to home. Ohh I get it. Pyongyang is the nearest in terms of dictatorial regimes to Singapore.
Which really doesn't bode well for us if even plp like stuffy can even remotely liken us to North Korea.

They could be more specific like " Injustice - we dunno , but anything under the sky " and "You can't silent the people - the 2 of us here "

SINGAPORE: Two men between the ages of 24 and 25 were arrested by police outside the Istana on Saturday afternoon (Apr 4).

Police said the duo had turned up in front of the Istana with placards at about 4pm. Channel NewsAsia understands that the men were holding signs that read “You can’t silence the people” and “Injustice” for about half an hour. They were clad in identical red hoodies and dark blue jeans.

Police also said both of them had refused to stop the activity despite requests from officers. As such, they were arrested for organising a public assembly without a permit, under Section 16(1)(a) of the Public Order Act, Chapter 257A.

Channel NewsAsia also understands that the two men are not affiliated to any groups or organisations. Police investigations are ongoing.
