With GMS brave decision to fund his election by selling his home, we all can play out part in being part of a historical event. This is a golden opportunity for people power in getting the message across. There are a number of ways that we all can contribute by thinking out of the box and not contravening the Political Donations Act which protects the incumbent government. As you know no sane businessman, community leader or people associated with large organisations will want to reveal their particulars revealed no matter how much they want to help GMS.

1. Make a concerted effort to spread the message of GMS and the Tampines team by rasiing it in every online forum that you visit or can visit. Remember the online petition on Durai.

2. Spread the message as you meet family, friends and acquaintences.

3. Make it known that he is the only political candidate that has engaged citizens consistently over the Internet without exception and over 7 years.

4. GMS has better understanding of Singaporeans' concerns and issues and has not been afraid to take it up.

5. Be part of a historical journey where captive local media is showed how to get the message to each and every Singaporean.

6. Remember you can make your support GMS badges, placard, banners for your use without breaching the Political Donations Act or any other legislation. You only breach if you distribute outside family and close friends. If everyone does his own badge, banner and placards, there is no need to distribute and breach any legislation.

7. Volunteer during the campaigns. Block your calendar to attend his rallies, his walkabouts and accompany him as he walks his campaign trail. After all PAP's habit of minimal notice and consistently shortest campaign in the world means that you just have to set aside 9 days maximum. Make it a family affair, don't cook, eat outside, carry a little hamper bag with food and drinks for the kids and take them along this journey.

Don't waste this opportunity - lets grab the first GRC and make the PAP listen to Singaporeans for the 1st time in nearly 2 decades. Tell the PAP that having MPs doing the hip hop is just insulting our intelligence.

Yeah I agreed with you! I will be more interested in watching some gays fucking Lee Kuan Yew in the ass then watching the PAP MPs doing the stupid Hip Hop on staged.

one or two grc will not make the company listen...all they need is to change a few policy and increase the number of mps...any new rules will still lose out in the voting in paliament

I agree.
majority of 1 form the cabinet and rule parliament.

our oppositions need a massive nationwide vote swing of 15% for them to make any significant gains this GE.
GMS need a big 20% vote swing to win Tampines GRC. The margain gap is just too big.

i got a very psychedlic purple technicolor sexmobile standing by for ah seng. he can sell his flat n live or bonk in this marvellous contraption.

during GE, he can use the gadgets in the purple sexmobile to loudhail as he drives through the crowd.

"VOTE FOR SAIKONGSENG TO RID ALL THE YAO KWAI IN PARLEEMENT!!":D

Over the Internet you say? What has he done in the 7 years on the actual ground?

I've nothing to disagree with all except this. Surely you are not trying to put GMS on a pedestal to be shot down by all other candidates including from his own party? Look what happened to KJ in regards to NTS when he tries to carve himself apart. (Clue: the internet is not just Sammyboy.)

Anyway "Project Goh Meng Seng". PGMS. Also means "Please Give More Support". GMS = Give More Support, so Give More Support to Goh Meng Seng or GMS to GMS.

GMS today is not the GMS of 2001-06, and he's certainly not KJ who came in newbie to the game with a huge pedigree reputation and prone to miscalculated reaction. GMS entered politics as a commoner and made his way up. There'd been stumbles along the way, but he picked upside up along with the experience gathered and lesson learned.

This is no time for fearing the front. fearing the back and fearing the flanks. An incumbent with a seat secured can play it safe, block all four sides and defend what he has. However, if the game is to win a seat, one must be confidently ready to take on all four directions, in offence as well as in defence. Cautiously of course on guard against surprise or counter attacks, but not too overcaustiously. It's good foresight and better part of valour to going up against a typhoon is heading this direction, but not one can't win anything by avoiding any turf with wind over it.

If your agreement is ongoing, it should be "I agree with you!". "Agreed" implies that you are no longer in agreement.

Chiu ish damn steady....at this point of time....still nitpick on such things.

:D :p :D

You may consider it "nitpicking" but all I'm trying to do is play a small part in improving the standard of English here by correcting the most common grammatical errors committed by Singaporeans on an ongoing basis.:(

If Sinkies were more magnanimous, they'd be thanking me a lot more often.

Surely you're not going to be like Locke and fail comprehension? My point is it's ok to say you're an internet man without fail since 2001, but it's different to say you're the only internet man in the opposition.

Is GMS the same GMS since 2001? That I beg to differ, but that's another story for another day.

We are thanking you, but you are doing an admirable thankless job!;) The trouble is, thanks to the Minister of Education twenty years go, that bred a generation of siNkingporeans whose prociciency in English is just as bad as their Chinese..

How can you blame them? when they do not know, advise/advice? stationery/staionary, sheep/sheeps....ad infinitium:D

You get a medal for doing a thankless job!;)

Surely Locke beats me hands down at comprehension scores in school. And surely I've never mentioned GMS as "the only internet man in the opposition." I've mentioned, indeed listed, quite a number. Not exhaustive listing of course, as I don't claim to know everything or everybody.

Is GMS the same GMS since 2001? That I beg to differ, but that's another story for another day.

Surely as I'd expected that you'd differ. I'd agree with you, certain character traits couldn't be changed. However, if among the traits include say it means do it, disagree means disagree, wrong means wrong, there're certain things that GMS has learned and changed. Look at the number of trolls flaming him (and he reacted in kind to) in old Delphi versus today.

Inborn character traits don't change. Personality does have room for change (for better or for worse) with accumulating new experience and knowledge. But as you've said, it's another story for another day.

And surely I've never mentioned GMS as "the only internet man in the opposition."

Go back again and see what Scro wrote (which I had singled out). The conversation started from there. If you want to chip in, at least know the basis.

I know, Scroobal said "the only" but he qualified with "consistently." I have no argument with that, I'm neither actively supporting nor disputing that accolade. I didn't even said "the only," that's my basis.

Can anyone list the things GMS has done? Well beside chatting in sammyboy of cos :p

River Valley SAP
Hwa Chung JC
SAF Captain
NUS Economics Honours
Two computer trading and repair shops, AMK and Tampines
WP CEC, Webmaster, Candidate in Aljunied GRC
NSP CEC, Secretary-General

I can see the question coming, oh what has he actually done for the people? I can reply nothing (personal and general community favors and helps, even party activities, he won't count). It's a stupid question if asked in naviety or an insinuous question if asked with malice.

He's not a civil servant or elected to officel (yet). Please ask those elected offcials and civil servants that are paid (astronomically) to serve the people, what have they done for the people. To him and others in candidacy, the fair question is, what do you propose to do?

Well, he did the following as far as I can recall:

1. After his maiden election bid, he setup the first of its kind "MP mentoring" program. Had the modules all typed out; at least the subject title of the modules anyway and plastered it all over the old sammyboy forum. Not a peep on the program since then. I'm not sure if its still work-in-progress or have been buried alive since.

2. He engaged in name calling and m&d-slinging in the old sammyboy forum and was promptly given the sack from WP. Having done the damage, the train-wreck then promptly joined NSP.

3. Dissed the black tee shirt event at centerpoint and was caught on camera grinning like a chimp with a flag in hand in a protest march in HK. If I remember correctly, Axethehale put up some nice posters.

4. Then there was the "comet in the sky" saga where he provided much needed comic relief.

5. Quite recently the blow-hard was here with his then latest election strategy - "minister specific" strategy. I did not understand that one either and I guess neither did most people for that matter.

6. Then there were all the name calling of minority races by our esteemed freedom fighter including my personal favorite - "minorities come from dysfunctional families". This one is sure to be a vote winner.

7. Now we got "sell my HDB flat" publicity stunt in progress. A whole lot of whoring and chest thumping going on and the apartment is not even sold yet.

One thing I have to give credit though; there is never a dull moment with GMS around.
