A netizen on STOMP reported that a PRC woman kicked up a big fuss after being issued a ticket for parking her car illegally along a double yellow line. Police had to be called in by the parking enforcement officers to resolve the situation.
The netizen said, “My friends and I were at Bukit Timah Plaza and we came upon a Chinese National woman getting booked for a parking offence along a double yellow line.”
The PRC woman insisted that one of the enforcement officer has given her a grace period but when she came back, she got a ticket.
The netizen asked, “Question: Which enforcement officer will allow anyone any grace period for parking along a double yellow line?”
“Clearly she was in the wrong and she created such a big fuss that her own kid was crying. ”
Later when the enforcement officers were about to leave on their bike, they were being blocked for leaving. The officers had no choice but to get down from their bike and call the police.
The netizen said, “The police came later and she kept on complaining that she was still right and we were like 50 metres away and we still could hear the commotion.”
After about 20 minutes, all of them then left.
=> For SGs, they would have been handcuffed and thrown into jail. For Foreigners, diam diam...Nice!
The netizen continued, “The woman should have known better. Why create such a big fuss when you are in the wrong in the first place? Please adhere to the laws of Singapore, even though it may be just a parking summon.”
The netizen then added, “Irony of the story, one of the enforcement officers is also a Chinese National.”
=> Ah, just like the PRC driver helping PRC woman to load up the entire trolley into the bus! Btw, since when SG sheep comes under foreign shepherds?
