GEORGE TOWN - A housewife told the sessions court here Thursday that an elderly policeman threaten to shoot himself in the head if she lodged a report against him for outraging the modesty of her seven-year old daughter.
Zarina Mohammad Boot, 46, said the 54-year old policeman uttered those words when she confronted him and asked if he had hugged the girl and dug her private parts with his finger.
She said he admitted doing that and kept asking for forgiveness from her and the girl. He went on to say that she "would be the best person in the world" if she refrains from lodging a police report on the matter.
She also said the accused told her that she should be grateful to Allah for giving her a beautiful daughter.
Zarina said she only knew of the incident when the girl related it to her.
