[h=1]POLICE: WE ARE STILL INVESTIGATING THE CASE ON EDZ ELLO[/h]

Following the arrest and subsequent charging of Amos Yee, less than a week after he first uploaded his controversial video, Singaporeans have raised questions about the Edz Ello case. Police have confirmed that they are still investigating.
Several Netizens have written to the Singapore Police Force about the case and each of them got the same reply:
Singapore Police Force: Police investigations into the reported cases are still on-going, and it is inappropriate for us to comment further. We will provide an update once we have completed our investigations.
Singaporeans have aired their concerns on the SPF Facebook page with many writing and explaining to the police why these two cases are causing Singaporeans to lose trust in the competency of the police.
One Netizen, Patrick Mahoney, wrote this:
Congrats for the quick arrest of Amos Yee. Now can you guys explain WHY you STILL have NOT arrested ed mundsel bello ello aka edz ello when he actually did far worse things like trying to incite a communal riot and made terrorist threats against Singapore and Singaporeans? Or do we actually need to file official complaints against the police to the minister himself if we want answers?

Another, Alan Shadrake also suggested that the difference was because the case with Amos involved an insult against the PAP:
They're very good at arresting and persecuting young men like Amos Yee - so long as they are not members of the PAP!
Miss Stacey Teo questioned:
Is it true that Edz Ello is no longer in Singapore? Please confirm. May I know if the police is letting the case under carpet? The speed you prosecute locals is astonishing but when it comes to foreigners it is totally a different story. You guys fail Singaporeans big time.
Earlier, Paul Chen, also wrote to the police questioning the lack of action against YPAP member Jason Neo whose case has been outstanding for over 3 years. Mr Chen failed to get a reply from the police on his question. (Police Take 3yrs and still No Action Against YPAP Member)
Many have pointed out the perceived double standard, especially given how Mr Ello's posts on social media had been far more direct, some even inciting violence:

It is a very complicated case, but rest assured the spf is working doubly hard to investigate this case. We will need 50 man years to make a thorough investigation of this incident.
