Police nab snatch theft suspects

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested two men, aged 30 and 34, suspected of snatch theft.
Police said the men approached a 23-year-old woman from behind and snatched her purse on 3 December.
They then fled the scene -- block 816 Yishun Street 81 -- with the woman's purse.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted investigation to establish the identities of the men and arrested the suspects on Wednesday.
The first suspect was arrested at his residence at block 855 Yishun Street 81 while the other was arrested at East Coast Parkway.
The suspects will be charged in court on Friday.
If convicted, they can be jailed up to seven years and caned.
