SINGAPORE - The police are investigating an incident of a 70-year-old man who allegedly made offensive remarks on board an MRT train on Sunday (Dec 6).
A police report had been lodged about the incident, the police said in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 9).
The incident was captured in a Facebook video, posted by user Rohaizatbai Abdul Rasik, that has gone viral, with more than 756,000 views and almost 15,000 shares since it was posted on Monday (Dec 7.)
In it, a man can be seen shouting in a crowded MRT train and having a heated exchange in Malay with a woman, who is off-screen.
He seemed to be unhappy that his actions were being recorded, and gestured aggressively at the woman, at one point telling her to get out.
He also appeared to run towards her and kick her before alighting at Raffles City MRT station.
