PM Lee donate his salary to charity in next 5 years (3 cheers for PAP!)

I have replied in regards to the Budget in another thread. You can fool a layman who hasn't learnt about economics in University, but you can't fool one who's studying economics in Australia.

Well like I have mentioned. This is the first time, first time (in many years) our great PAP government has made this Budget schemes to tackle the current problems. The situation is Singapore is not as bad yet. If the situation is worse along the way, surely our great PAP government will take further cuts and rebates in those areas you have mentioned in that thread you have listed. You can't expect the government to one shot lower or cut everything, as an economics student yourself, you should know that constant reviewing and monitoring the situations and performances is very important to make all the necessary changes. So, lets hope this first Budget schemes will help Singapore to pull through this difficult time. 3 cheers for our great PAP. :)

Of course not. Not when everyone has slowly done something, cutting things down, improving flow of money, investing more in infrastructure, restoring trust in the system by improving accountability, gradually since September 2008, while our government is barely off the blocks now.

Its like closing the door of the horse stable now in the winter, after all of your horses have escaped in the autumn.

Well you have your point on that. Lets just look forward, I think this first Budget schemes announcement will more or less help Singapore and build back some confidence of the investors and employers. As you must know, in order for Singapore economy to get back on track, we really need to see the situations in the US and Europe. Currently we are still hanging on and hopefully US can do something significant.

A stimulus package can only be effective if many countries do it together as a group. Piece-meal by piece meal won't work in such a global financial crisis.

When you donate to charity you get a double offset in your income tax return. So he is in reality getting more take home pay. A clever ploy?

Good post. :)

Let's see how the threat starter rebut you. :D

Your stubborn request for an apology for the above heading shall be granted to make you happy for a moment. I apologize for the misleading heading of this thread.

It seems to me that you, the blind supporter is finally cornered into conceding defeat and making a reluctant insecure apology. :) :D

BALLS!!

Those stinking Lee family, including elder son Lee, have only thoughts
of how to enrich themselves by screwing Singaporeans.

Any talk of PM Lee wanting to be charitable will be bullshit.

Nothing but cosmetic face paint with the only aim to give Sinkies
bullshit while they and their thugs grab even more money for themselves.

To take French cooking courses.
Or just so that they can laugh all the way to the banks

VOTE OUT ALL THOSE LKY AND HIS BLOOD SUCKING BASTARDS

No matter how much you all dislike our great PM Lee, it is a real fact that he is donating his increased salaries every month to help the needy organizations, society and charities. You all may dislike him, but at least show him some respect for contributing to our nation and helping our people. I don't know why you all love to distort and mislead facts.

Please provide breakdown details of his donation to which charity organisation, how much to each and how it helps the common people and /or poor people. If not, I would assume he donate to his own charity for his own pleasure, and maybe enjoying more cooking lessons???

Old news but good to know that our great PM Lee Hsien Loong is donating his increase salary to the charities for 5 years period starting from 2007.

just curious.

anybody know what's his networth?

500 million? 1 billion or 10 billion? :D
